Our story

Potato Eye started as a small rebellion against the pace of London.

Created by a Londoner who spent 10 years in the corporate world
and realised something was missing -
something more human, more creative, more FUN.

Created by a Londoner who spent 10 years
in the corporate world and realised something
was missing - something more human, more creative, more FUN.

So this corporate girl boss stepped away from a polished career
and created Potato Eye Creative Space - a place to switch off, make something with your hands
(no experience needed), and enjoy it with a glass of sparkling Dalston soda (or something
a little sparklier) and vinyl.

Workshops are kept small (up to 8 people), so the experience feels calm and personal rather than rushed or crowded.

There’s no expectation to be good at anything,
and no pressure to turn it into a skill. But you will have
a genuinely great time - and probably leave with something
you didn’t expect to like as much as you do.

“We came as a group of friends
and had the best time. The space
is just around the corner from funky Dalston bars which was
very convenient."

“Loved everything about it -
the music, the atmosphere, the people.
I made a beautiful mosaic jewellery plate and gifted it to my sister - she’s obsessed. It felt more like a curated
experience than a class.."

The space is beautiful
and thoughtfully designed -
it feels cozy and personal, not like
a typical workshop. Very relaxed, welcoming, and easy to enjoy

Location

Potato Eye is located in the heart of Dalston -
messy, creative, unpredictable Dalston.

It’s 5 minutes from Dalston Kingsland, 8 from Dalston Junction, and about 23 minutes from Oxford Circus.
But don’t just come for the workshop. Come for the whole day.

Start with a workshop at Potato Eye, then let Dalston take over.Brunch that turns into afternoon drinks. Cafés you sit in longer than planned. Bars you “accidentally” find.
